Recordings of lessons

Both the Copyright Act and the Personal Data Act should be considered when recording a lesson to be shared with others. This applies to both audio and video recordings.

The teacher has the copyright for both materials and in person lessons. You should always ask for permission before recording and sharing lessons.

If anyone besides the teacher is actively appearing on the recording, you are required to ask them for permission before you share the lesson. If they say no, the recording cannot be published. Be aware that they are allowed to withdraw their consent at any time.

When you ask your teacher and fellow students for permission, you must all agree on what the recording will be used for and where the recording will be shared.
